In March 2025, Premier Danielle Smith appeared on Breitbart News, praised Donald Trump, and said Pierre Poilievre is “in sync” with Trump’s vision. Saying the quiet part out loud.
Aligned with what? Annexation? Conceding to Trump’s demands?
She had just visited Mar-a-Lago.
This isn’t a conspiracy. This is coordinated.
Pierre Poilievre and Danielle Smith are aligning themselves with the MAGA agenda — and importing it straight into Canadian politics.
They’re using the same MAGA playbook:
Discredit the media – Poilievre is promising to shut down the CBC and labels trusted journalists as part of an “elite agenda.”
Spread disinformation – From the World Economic Forum to climate skepticism, they amplify conspiracy theories to grow their base.
Attack public institutions – Poillevre has attacked the Bank of Canada, cast doubt on Elections Canada, while Smith has undermined trust in our courts — all to erode public faith in our institutions.
Exploit division – Danielle Smith repeatedly threatened a national unity crisis in the process.
Canada needs to be united. But we can’t let these folks take over. It’s not about uniting Canadians — it’s about fracturing us.
And they are seeing some success.
But we know the playbook. And now we need you.
This campaign is building a network of people who are ready to fight back. Not with slogans.
With strategy. With content.

I am appalled as to what Trump is doing to the world, causing so much uncertainties for his own benefits and that of his billionaire minions. I am disgusted with the fact that women are not in charge of their own bodies ... a fight I fought back in the 60s. Canada is not broken nor was the U.S. We don't need dictators in the free world, we need leaders who care about the people. This is no longer about Liberal versus Conservatives it's about who can run the country best, who can raise Canada's economy, who can bring up our dollar, who can help Canadian citizens get housing, and who can stand up to the tyrant Trump. It absolutely is not Poilievre who will not and most likely cannot get clearance and who cannot write his own playbook and must have Harper endorse him (just like Trump has his rich minions endorse him). God help Canada if Poilievre wins!

I see the move to MAGA politics which makes it easier to eventually be annexed by the states. PP is certainly spouting far right politics. I want none of it. I am extremely worried about where this Canadian movement to far right politics is coming from and where it intends to take this country…certainly not to the freedom that they have convinced their followers it will bring. I am afraid of the groups that are racist, mysoginist, violent, controlling who are heavily into far right and conservatism or perhaps Christian nationalism and who will have much more purchase in our country. It will destroy our Canada.
