We stand for universal public health care and public education, strong public institutions, workers’ rights, and an independent media that tells Canada’s story.
During the last federal election, we ran campaigns to defend public institutions, launched the show Whatever This Is, and created explainer videos that reached hundreds of thousands of Canadians. Our first campaign defended the CBC, one of the last voices standing for Canadian truth in a global sea of noise.
Our newest campaign is designed to Save the Charter against Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s use of the Notwithstanding clause. This is unprecedented and violates rights, overrides the courts, and puts everyone’s rights in danger.

Forward Canada is a registered non-profit that builds campaigns to protect Canada’s core values: democracy, fairness, and community. We defend public institutions, workers’ rights, and Canadian voices in an increasingly polarized world.
Forward Canada was founded by Canadian campaigners Richard Einarson and Zain Velji. After years helping others build movements through Northweather, we started this non-profit to act directly. Canada needs more people standing up for Canada.

No. We are non-partisan. But we are not neutral. We will work with anyone who believes in fairness, democracy, and strong public institutions—and stand up to anyone who threatens them.
We use digital campaigns and grassroots organizing to engage Canadians directly. Our focus is persuasion and participation, not polarization.
We are funded by Canadians. Initial seed support came from Northweather, an independent Canadian firm. As we grow, donations from individuals will power everything we do..keeping our work accountable to Canadians alone.
